As you may be able to tell, in addition to economics I have a slight interest in sports. Well, maybe slight is not the right word. Baseball is a clear #1 on my list. The picture is linked to a baseball page that has various odds and ends on it.
Dominican Republic vs. Italy, March , 2006
Not a bad top 5 for the Dominican team, especially with Soriano and Tejada on
the bench.
Given that I wrote a dissertation based on the baseball card industry, one might guess that I actually have a baseball card collection. One would be correct. Click on Tom Seaver to read about baseball cards. Actually there is no need to click on Tom Seaver as I have a forthcoming chapter in a book volume on the Post-WWII Baseball Card Industry. Perhaps one day I will chronicle my cards on the site.
If having a PhD in Economics, being a fan of baseball, and having a baseball
card collection doesn't qualify me as a geek, then I suppose that my interest in
Star Wars must put me over the edge. Click on Yoda to see a discussion of some
of the economics present in Star Wars. ***Again, not complete. No Yoda picture
yet.***
Some of my favorite movie quotes are
here. I'll try to add some explanation as to why I like them. I'll add more
as I think of them - sometimes it takes the right situation to jog your memory.
